Chemung County Child Care Council offers a variety of educational and administrative services for child care providers who operate for profit and not-for-profit child care programs.
Program assistance
- Center-based and school-age
- extensive assistance with the technical aspects of owning a child care center, from business plan development and identifying funding options to all aspects of day-to-day operations
Home-based - assistance with application process, site visits, administration of start-up funds, and all aspects of owning/operating a home-based child care program, as well as administration of Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a food reimbursement program
Fingerprinting service - for child care professionals
Training - fee-based professional training for the child care workforce
Professional support - provided on an ongoing basis to operational child care programs
Designated registrar* - for family child care homes and school-age programs in Chemung County
