• The first Elmira Family Resource Center opened its doors in October 2016 after two years of planning by a dedicated committee representing parents including Elmira College, the Department of Social Services, Horseheads Family Resource Center, and the Child Care Council.

• The EFRC is available to all families living in Chemung County. The center offers families a place to meet other families, get help from community agencies and provide a place for children to learn, play and grow.

• The EFRC is funded through the Community Foundation and Chemung County.
